WELCOME, FRIEND!
Welcome to the Friends Program of The World Community for Christian
    Meditation.

We are a group of people who have been deeply touched by the gift  of
Christian Meditation.  We are seekers whose lives have been transformed.
We come from all over the world and from all walks of life.

Some of us were introduced to the practice by Fr John Main as long ago as
1978, when he first started teaching Christian Meditation. Others came
across Christian Meditation through an encounter with Fr Laurence
Freeman in a workshop, retreat, conference, or seminar. Yet others learned
to meditate from a teacher who was taught by Father John Main, Fr
Laurence Freeman or one of the many teachers trained by the Community.
And finally, there are those of us who encountered Christian Meditation
through one of the many books, audio or video materials written or
produced by Fr John Main, Fr Laurence Freeman, and other teachers within
    our tradition.

Most of us meditate regularly with a group of fellow meditators.  There are
presently close to  2,000 meditation groups around the world whose
members meet regularly every week for silent prayer and communion .
Others meditate by themselves at home.

Most of us have made meditation our way of life. We have found that the
commitment to the practice of Christian Meditation has greatly deepened
our faith and communion with God and this, in turn, has manifested itself in
so many countless ways in our experience of our lives.

We want to share with you our story and we invite you to be part of our
    Community.
