FROM THE HEART
    "What a beautiful tree ! - Praise the Lord!"

    My resonance with his saying that we could be and should be in the
    presence of God / in the presence of HIS universe  is  my encounter in one
    of my golf outing one year after I had practised C.M.

    I used to be the sort of golfer who paid a lot of attention to my performance
    in the game , e.g. to win a trophy , to beat the team members ( win their
    money even though it might be just for something like $ 10 per hole ) ; so
    I had this habit of really concentrating on how to play each stroke ,  
    scrutinizing the course / terrain with the view that I could drive the ball to
    the right place on the course .

    On this particular day , however , I did not perform very well ( I became the
    least of a fanatic since I practised C.M. ; so my skill naturally could not be
    maintained in top conditions ) . In one of the hole , my second stroke
    was not hit very well and it landed at the back of a big tree . I said to myself ,
    " Gee ! How am I going to get that ball out and put it back into the fairway? "  

    Anyway , as I walk closer to the tree , I looked up and said , " Wow ! What a
    beautiful tree ! "  I slowly stopped to admire the tree . The team members
    came up to me and said , " Hey ! Why have you stopped ?"

    I said , " Look !  What a beautiful tree ! "

    They said , " What are you talking about ? You have  played in this course
    more than 50 times !  Come on move ! "

    I took very little notice of what they said , and replied , " Yeah . . . OK . . .  but
    really , this is a beautiful tree ! "

    Anyway , we moved on ; my performane went from bad to worse . My team
    members kept winning more money from me . . . . . meanwhile I was able to
    appreciate more beautiful trees on the course .  The money lost ( approx
    $ 100 for the day ) was no comparison with the spiritual gain   :   I felt
    connected to ( present in )  the Father's Universe and was indeed able to
    appreciate HIS beautiful creation !  This was not quite possible when I was
    a keen golfer . It was all because of the C.M. that I practised . It was all
    because of the Lord's Grace and His working in me  that I could stay
    connected .  Praise the Lord !
